From her loose watercolor portraiture to her beautifully textured non-representational pieces, Patty Richards has always had an eye for design. Formerly an owner and operator of Gallery 15 in Irvington, Virginia, Patty found herself increasingly inspired by the artists and patrons who shared their enthusiasm for the arts. She picked up her own brush in 2013 and has been deeply connected to her creative process ever since. In 2016 she opened Patty Richards Art, a studio in Kilmarnock, VA, where she is free to experiment in a variety of media and invites others to experience her unique artistic viewpoint.
Patty has received awards form the Virginia Watercolor Society, the RAL Art Center and The Bay School Community Art Center. Her work is collected privately and has been featured in editorials. Patty loves the thrill of a new project and is available to work with you on commissioned portraits or to create the perfect custom piece for your space.
